Drug intelligence / Profile preview
"TBE + influenza" refers to the concurrent administration of a tick-borne encephalitis (TBE) vaccine and a seasonal influenza vaccine. This specific combination was utilized in a Phase 4 clinical trial (NCT00804219) conducted by the Medical University of Vienna to investigate the immunological profiles of individuals who show low or high responses to the TBE vaccine. The study also included hepatitis B non-responders to determine if vaccine non-responsiveness is a generalized immune deficit or an antigen-specific phenomenon. Both components are typically inactivated or subunit biologics administered via intramuscular injection to elicit protective humoral and cellular immune responses against their respective viral pathogens.
