Drug intelligence / Profile preview
Tiluohuayu + Yangxuemingmu is a combination therapy consisting of two Traditional Chinese Medicine (TCM) granule formulations developed by the China Academy of Chinese Medical Sciences Eye Hospital. This combination is specifically investigated for the treatment of normal tension glaucoma (NTG). Tiluohuayu is formulated to promote blood circulation and remove blood stasis (unblocking collaterals), while Yangxuemingmu is designed to nourish the blood and improve visual acuity. The therapeutic rationale is based on the TCM principle of addressing both the branch (stasis) and the root (deficiency) of the disease. Clinically, the combination is intended to provide neuroprotection to the retinal ganglion cells and improve hemodynamic parameters in the retrobulbar vessels, thereby slowing the progression of visual field loss in NTG patients.
