Drug intelligence / Profile preview
Dizoltec + Yijunsheng is a combination therapeutic regimen used for the treatment of vaginitis, particularly bacterial vaginosis and mixed vaginal infections. Dizoltec is a brand name for tinidazole, a second-generation nitroimidazole antibiotic. It works by diffusing into the cells of anaerobic bacteria and protozoa, where its nitro group is reduced to active free radicals that cause DNA strand breakage and inhibit further DNA synthesis, leading to cell death. Yijunsheng is a probiotic preparation containing live Lactobacillus acidophilus. When administered vaginally, it restores the normal physiological flora of the vagina, which is often depleted during infection or antibiotic therapy. By replenishing beneficial lactobacilli, Yijunsheng helps maintain an acidic vaginal pH and produces inhibitory substances like hydrogen peroxide and lactic acid, which prevent the overgrowth of pathogenic organisms and reduce the rate of recurrence. This dual approach combines rapid pathogen eradication with the restoration of the vaginal microenvironment.
