Drug intelligence / Profile preview
Tislelizumab + bevacizumab is a combination therapy consisting of two monoclonal antibodies with complementary mechanisms of action. Tislelizumab is an anti-PD-1 antibody that enhances T-cell immune responses against tumor cells by blocking the interaction between PD-1 and its ligands. Bevacizumab (Avastin) is an angiogenesis inhibitor that works by binding to vascular endothelial growth factor A (VEGF-A), preventing it from interacting with its receptors and inhibiting the formation of new blood vessels that supply tumors. This combination approach simultaneously targets immune evasion and tumor angiogenesis pathways, potentially offering enhanced anti-tumor activity compared to either agent alone.
