Overview

ICI-HIPET is a combination therapeutic regimen being investigated for the treatment of advanced ovarian cancer (Stage IIIc-IVA). The protocol consists of the immune checkpoint inhibitor tislelizumab (an anti-PD-1 monoclonal antibody) administered in conjunction with hyperthermic intraperitoneal chemotherapy (HIPEC) and standard systemic chemotherapy comprising paclitaxel and carboplatin. The regimen is designed to leverage the potential of HIPEC to modulate the tumor microenvironment by reducing immunosuppressive cells and enhancing the sensitivity of the tumor to immunotherapy. This specific protocol is being evaluated in a Phase 2 clinical trial led by investigator Jing Li to improve outcomes in patients with high-grade serous ovarian cancer.
