This combination therapy consists of the anti-PD-1 monoclonal antibody tislelizumab administered alongside a taxane (paclitaxel or docetaxel) and a platinum-based chemotherapeutic agent (cisplatin or carboplatin). It is being investigated as a neoadjuvant treatment for patients with locally advanced cervical squamous cell carcinoma (FIGO stages IB2-IIB). Tislelizumab works by blocking the PD-1/PD-L1 pathway to enhance T-cell mediated anti-tumor immune responses, while the chemotherapy components (TP regimen) induce cytotoxic effects through microtubule stabilization and DNA cross-linking. The regimen is typically administered every three weeks for three cycles prior to definitive surgery or radiation.
