Drug intelligence / Profile preview
TIV + MVA-NP+M1 is a combination vaccine approach that pairs a traditional Trivalent Influenza Vaccine (TIV) with a novel viral vector vaccine (MVA-NP+M1). The MVA-NP+M1 component is a recombinant, replication-deficient Modified Vaccinia Ankara (MVA) vector expressing the influenza antigens nucleoprotein (NP) and matrix protein 1 (M1) as a fusion protein. This combination aims to provide broader protection against influenza by stimulating different immune responses simultaneously - TIV induces antibody responses against specific circulating strains, while MVA-NP+M1 stimulates T-cell responses against conserved internal influenza proteins that may offer cross-protection against different influenza strains.
