Overview

TJ-15 + TJ-17 is a combination of two traditional Japanese Kampo herbal formulas, Hwang-Yeon-Hae-Dok-San (TJ-15) and Ou-Ryung-San (TJ-17). This combination has been studied for the treatment of atopic dermatitis, particularly in patients with the Dampness-Heat pattern as defined by traditional East Asian medicine. The mechanism of action is not fully elucidated but is believed to involve anti-inflammatory and immunomodulatory effects due to the complex mixture of herbal ingredients present in both formulas. In clinical studies, this combination has shown efficacy in reducing symptoms and severity indices associated with atopic dermatitis without significant adverse events[1].
