Drug intelligence / Profile preview
This is a combination therapy consisting of tocilizumab (an IL-6 receptor antagonist), albumin-bound paclitaxel (a cytotoxic antimicrotubule agent), and cisplatin (a platinum-based chemotherapy agent). The combination may potentially target both inflammatory pathways and cancer cells. Tocilizumab blocks IL-6 signaling which may play a role in tumorigenesis, while albumin-bound paclitaxel promotes microtubule assembly and prevents depolymerization, inhibiting cell division. Cisplatin works by crosslinking DNA, preventing cell division and leading to apoptosis.
