Drug intelligence / Profile preview
Toripalimab + FOLFOX is a combination therapy that pairs the PD-1 inhibitor toripalimab with the FOLFOX chemotherapy regimen (folinic acid, fluorouracil, and oxaliplatin). This combination demonstrates synergistic effects in treating various cancers. FOLFOX works by destroying rapidly dividing cells through different mechanisms, while toripalimab enhances immune response against cancer cells by blocking the PD-1 pathway. Clinical trials have shown promising results for this combination in treating advanced hepatocellular carcinoma (HCC) with high-risk features and locally advanced colorectal cancer, with improved progression-free survival rates and pathological complete response rates compared to chemotherapy alone.
