Drug intelligence / Profile preview
Toripalimab + nab-paclitaxel is a combination regimen of two drugs: toripalimab, a recombinant humanized monoclonal antibody targeting programmed cell death protein 1 (PD-1), and nab-paclitaxel, an albumin-bound formulation of the microtubule inhibitor paclitaxel. The combination is under investigation as a first-line therapy for metastatic or recurrent triple-negative breast cancer (TNBC), particularly in patients with tumors expressing PD-L1, and has recently demonstrated significant improvement in progression-free survival and a tolerable safety profile in the phase 3 TORCHLIGHT trial. Toripalimab enhances antitumor immune responses by blocking PD-1, thus restoring T cell activity, while nab-paclitaxel disrupts microtubule function during cell division and enhances immune responses by modulating the tumor microenvironment[1][2][3][4][5].
