toripalimab + nimotuzumab

toripalimab + nimotuzumab is a combination therapy being investigated for the treatment of oral squamous cell carcinoma. Toripalimab is a humanized IgG4 monoclonal antibody that targets the programmed death-1 (PD-1) receptor, acting as an immune checkpoint inhibitor to enhance anti-tumor immune responses. It was developed by Shanghai Junshi Biosciences. Nimotuzumab is a humanized monoclonal antibody that targets the epidermal growth factor receptor (EGFR), inhibiting tumor cell growth and survival. In a clinical trial led by Peking Union Medical College Hospital, this combination is being evaluated as a neoadjuvant therapy for patients with primary limited-stage oral squamous cell carcinoma prior to radical therapy.
