Toripalimab + ScTIL is a combination therapy consisting of toripalimab, a humanized monoclonal antibody targeting programmed death protein-1 (PD-1), and ScTIL, which refers to "selected tumor-infiltrating lymphocytes." Toripalimab acts as an immune checkpoint inhibitor by blocking the PD-1 pathway, thereby enhancing T-cell mediated antitumor immune responses. Selected tumor-infiltrating lymphocyte (ScTIL) therapy involves isolating and expanding autologous T cells from a patient's tumor tissue and reinfusing them to target cancer cells. This combination aims to synergistically boost the immune system's ability to recognize and destroy cancer cells by both releasing inhibitory checkpoints (via toripalimab) and increasing the number of active antitumor T cells (via ScTIL). The primary indications for this approach are investigational in solid tumors, particularly in advanced or refractory cancers.
