Overview

TP-102 is a therapeutic bacteriophage cocktail developed by Technophage for the treatment of severe respiratory infections, specifically ventilator-associated pneumonia (VAP). The cocktail is composed of five distinct lytic bacteriophages, including members of the *Myoviridae* family, that specifically target and eliminate *Pseudomonas aeruginosa* and *Klebsiella pneumoniae*. By utilizing a cocktail of multiple phages, TP-102 provides broad coverage against various clinical isolates of these Gram-negative pathogens and minimizes the risk of bacterial resistance. The drug is designed for administration via inhalation using a nebulizer, allowing for direct delivery to the infected lung tissue. TP-102 has been evaluated in Phase 1/2 clinical trials to assess its safety, tolerability, and efficacy in patients colonized or infected with these multidrug-resistant bacteria in intensive care settings.
