Drug intelligence / Profile preview
TQB2450 is a novel humanized immunoglobulin G1 (IgG1) monoclonal antibody that targets programmed death-ligand 1 (PD-L1). It functions as an immune checkpoint inhibitor, blocking the interaction of PD-L1 with PD-1 and CD80, thereby enhancing T cell activation and antitumor immune responses. Developed by Chia Tai Tianqing Pharmaceutical Group, TQB2450 has demonstrated safety and efficacy in preclinical studies and early-phase clinical trials across multiple advanced solid tumors. When combined with chemotherapy agents such as paclitaxel and cisplatin, or with the tyrosine kinase inhibitor anlotinib plus standard chemotherapy regimens (e.g., etoposide/carboplatin), it has shown encouraging antitumor activity and manageable toxicity profiles in diseases including esophageal squamous cell carcinoma (ESCC), small-cell lung cancer (SCLC), non-small cell lung cancer (NSCLC), biliary tract cancers, triple-negative breast cancer, and other advanced malignancies[1][4][5].
