Overview

TQB2450 + progestin is an investigational combination therapy consisting of TQB2450, a humanized monoclonal antibody targeting programmed death-ligand 1 (PD-L1), and a progestin, a class of synthetic hormones that mimic the effects of natural progesterone. TQB2450 (Benmelstobart) acts as an immune checkpoint inhibitor by blocking PD-L1, thereby enhancing anti-tumor immune responses. Progestins are commonly used in hormonal therapies for gynecological conditions and cancers due to their ability to modulate endometrial growth and hormone-driven tumor proliferation. This combination is being studied primarily for fertility-sparing treatment in patients with mismatch repair-deficient endometrial cancer (MMRd EC), aiming to improve therapeutic efficacy, reduce recurrence rates, and enhance tumor prognosis[2][6]. The developer of TQB2450 is Chia Tai Tianqing Pharmaceutical Group.
