Overview

TQB2928 + azacitidine is an investigational combination therapy being studied for the treatment of hematological malignancies, specifically acute myeloid leukemia (AML) and myelodysplastic syndromes (MDS). TQB2928 is a fully humanized IgG4 monoclonal antibody that targets CD47, a cell surface protein involved in immune evasion by cancer cells. By blocking CD47, TQB2928 promotes phagocytosis of tumor cells by macrophages. Azacitidine is a nucleoside metabolism inhibitor and DNA methyltransferase inhibitor that reduces DNA methylation and alters gene expression, leading to the production of normal blood cells and death of abnormal cells. The combination aims to enhance anti-tumor activity through complementary mechanisms: immune checkpoint inhibition (TQB2928) and epigenetic modulation/cytotoxicity (azacitidine)[5][6][7].
