Overview
TQZ2451 + metformin is a combination regimen used for the treatment of type 2 diabetes mellitus. TQZ2451 is administered as a subcutaneous injection, while metformin hydrochloride is taken orally in sustained-release tablet form. The mechanism of action of TQZ2451 appears to be similar to that of GLP-1 receptor agonists, enhancing glucose-dependent insulin secretion, inhibiting glucagon release, and promoting weight reduction. Metformin works by decreasing hepatic glucose production and improving insulin sensitivity. This combination is intended to improve glycemic control and support weight management in diabetic patients[1].
