travoprost + timolol + brinzolamide

Travoprost + timolol + brinzolamide is a combination ophthalmic therapy used for the treatment of open-angle glaucoma and ocular hypertension. This regimen combines three agents with complementary mechanisms to lower intraocular pressure (IOP): travoprost, a prostaglandin F2α analog that increases uveoscleral outflow; timolol, a non-selective beta-adrenergic antagonist that reduces aqueous humor production; and brinzolamide, a carbonic anhydrase inhibitor that also decreases aqueous humor secretion. The triple combination is typically used in patients who require greater IOP reduction than can be achieved with monotherapy or dual therapy alone. Clinical studies have shown that adding brinzolamide to fixed-combination travoprost/timolol further lowers IOP compared to dual combinations or monotherapies[5]. This approach may improve adherence by reducing the number of separate eye drops required.
