Drug intelligence / Profile preview
Triciribine + carboplatin is an investigational combination of two small molecule oncology drugs. Triciribine (including its prodrug PTX-200) is an inhibitor of AKT phosphorylation and activation, suppressing the PI3K/AKT pathway, which is dysregulated in various cancers. Carboplatin is a DNA-damaging platinum-based chemotherapeutic that forms DNA crosslinks, leading to cell death and is widely used in ovarian and other cancers. The combination is being tested for synergistic antitumor activity and safety in ovarian cancer, particularly those with activated AKT signaling[2][4][5].
