Overview
A combination therapy consisting of trilaciclib and cisplatin. Trilaciclib is a first-in-class, intravenous CDK4/6 inhibitor administered prior to cisplatin-containing chemotherapy to reduce chemotherapy-induced myelosuppression in patients with extensive-stage small cell lung cancer (ES-SCLC). Trilaciclib works by causing reversible cell cycle arrest in the G1 phase of hematopoietic stem and progenitor cells, protecting them from chemotherapy-induced DNA damage without interfering with the anti-tumor efficacy of chemotherapy.
