A combination drug regimen used in assisted reproductive technology (ART) for women with female infertility, specifically those identified as "poor responders" undergoing in vitro fertilization (IVF). This regimen, often referred to as a "microdose GnRH agonist" or "flare" protocol, consists of triptorelin (a gonadotropin-releasing hormone agonist), recombinant follicle-stimulating hormone (FSH), and recombinant luteinizing hormone (LH). Triptorelin is administered in small doses to exploit the initial "flare" effect of endogenous gonadotropins and subsequently desensitize the pituitary gland to prevent a premature LH surge. Exogenous recombinant FSH and LH are administered concurrently to directly stimulate the development and maturation of multiple ovarian follicles. This specific combination and protocol were evaluated by Bioroma in clinical studies to compare its efficacy against other stimulation regimens, such as clomiphene citrate-based protocols, in patients with a poor prognosis for ovarian response.
