Triptorelin + recombinant LH is a combination therapy consisting of triptorelin, a synthetic decapeptide agonist analog of gonadotropin-releasing hormone (GnRH), and recombinant luteinizing hormone (LH). Triptorelin acts as a GnRH agonist, initially stimulating the pituitary to release luteinizing hormone (LH) and follicle-stimulating hormone (FSH), followed by downregulation of GnRH receptors with chronic administration, leading to suppression of endogenous gonadotropin secretion and reduced sex steroid production. Recombinant LH is used to supplement or replace endogenous LH activity, particularly in assisted reproductive technology protocols after pituitary desensitization with triptorelin. The combination is primarily investigated for use in controlled ovarian stimulation during in vitro fertilization (IVF) cycles and may also be relevant for other indications where modulation of the hypothalamic-pituitary-gonadal axis is required[3][7]. This regimen aims to optimize follicular development and improve clinical pregnancy rates following pituitary downregulation.
