Drug intelligence / Profile preview
Trivalent inactivated influenza vaccine + FB-631 is a combination vaccine consisting of a standard seasonal trivalent inactivated influenza vaccine (TIV) and Folia Biotech's proprietary PAL adjuvant (FB-631). The FB-631 adjuvant is composed of nanoparticles formed from the recombinant coat protein of the papaya mosaic virus (PapMV). This plant virus-derived platform is designed to enhance the immune response to the influenza antigens by stimulating both humoral and cellular immunity. In clinical evaluation, the 2013-2014 formulation of Fluviral was used as the base TIV. The vaccine was developed by Folia Biotech Inc. to provide improved protection against seasonal influenza, particularly in populations with weakened immune responses.
