Drug intelligence / Profile preview
This investigational **trivalent influenza virus subunit vaccine (adjuvant)** is a protein-subunit seasonal influenza vaccine developed by Ab&B Bio and its subsidiary Yither Bio for prevention of influenza in adults aged 65 years and older. It contains purified influenza viral surface-antigen components and a proprietary adjuvant system intended to augment vaccine-induced humoral and cellular immune responses in older adults, a population with reduced immune responsiveness and elevated risk of severe influenza outcomes. The product received China NMPA Center for Drug Evaluation IND approval as a Class I new drug and is being evaluated in a randomized, blinded Phase I trial in Chinese adults aged 65 years and older.
