Overview

This entry refers to the co-administration of Pfizer's **Trumenba** (a bivalent recombinant lipoprotein 2086 vaccine) and a pediatric **hepatitis A vaccine**. Trumenba is designed to prevent invasive disease caused by *Neisseria meningitidis* serogroup B by inducing bactericidal antibodies against factor H binding protein (fHBP), a surface protein that allows the bacteria to evade the host's immune system. The hepatitis A vaccine is an inactivated virus vaccine that provides active immunity against the hepatitis A virus (HAV). This specific co-administration regimen has been evaluated in Phase 2 clinical trials (such as NCT01461980) to assess the safety, tolerability, and immunogenicity of Trumenba when given alongside routine pediatric vaccinations in healthy toddlers aged 12 to 24 months.
