Overview

**Trumenba + Nimenrix + paracetamol** is a combination regimen involving three distinct agents: - **Trumenba**: a recombinant, adsorbed vaccine for active immunisation against invasive disease caused by *Neisseria meningitidis* serogroup B. It contains recombinant lipidated factor H binding protein (fHbp) from serogroup B strains and is indicated for individuals ≥10 years, though studied off-label in infants[1]. - **Nimenrix**: a conjugate vaccine for prevention of invasive meningococcal disease caused by *Neisseria meningitidis* serogroups A, C, W-135, and Y. It consists of polysaccharides from these serogroups conjugated to tetanus toxoid, thus inducing a T-cell dependent immune response[4]. - **Paracetamol** (acetaminophen): an analgesic and antipyretic, used here prophylactically to prevent or reduce fever following immunisation. When used together, notably in infants ≤12 months, the regimen seeks to provide broad protection against multiple meningococcal serogroups while mitigating vaccine-induced fever, though high rates of fever (>75%) were observed in clinical study, even with paracetamol prophylaxis[2][5]. Trumenba and Nimenrix act via immune system stimulation with bacterial antigen components; paracetamol acts via inhibition of central prostaglandin synthesis.
