TTK peptide + Montanide ISA 51 is a therapeutic cancer vaccine formulation consisting of a synthetic peptide derived from the tumor-associated antigen TTK protein kinase (also known as Mps1) emulsified in the adjuvant Montanide ISA 51. The combination is designed to stimulate an immune response against cancer cells expressing the TTK antigen. The mechanism involves presentation of the synthetic peptide by HLA molecules to cytotoxic CD8+ T cells, inducing a targeted anti-tumor immune response. Montanide ISA 51 acts as an immunologic adjuvant, forming a water-in-oil emulsion that creates a depot effect at the injection site for slow and sustained release of antigen and enhanced immune activation[5][6][9]. This combination has been investigated primarily in early-phase clinical trials for advanced cancers such as esophageal cancer and non-small cell lung cancer[1][5][7]. It is not an approved therapy but has demonstrated safety and immunogenicity in clinical studies.
