Overview

Tumor Infiltrating Lymphocytes (TILs) developed by Fujian Cancer Hospital is an autologous adoptive cell therapy being investigated for the treatment of advanced, recurrent, or metastatic solid tumors. The therapeutic process involves the surgical resection of a patient's tumor tissue, from which naturally occurring T cells that have already recognized and infiltrated the tumor are isolated. These TILs are then expanded and activated *ex vivo* to reach therapeutic quantities. Before reinfusion, patients undergo a non-myeloablative lymphodepleting conditioning regimen, typically consisting of cyclophosphamide and fludarabine, to create a favorable environment for the transferred cells. Following the intravenous infusion of the TILs, patients receive high-dose interleukin-2 (IL-2) to support the survival, proliferation, and anti-tumor activity of the lymphocytes. This approach leverages the polyclonal nature of TILs to target a diverse array of tumor-specific neoantigens.
