Overview

TV005 is a tetravalent, live-attenuated dengue vaccine developed by the National Institute of Allergy and Infectious Diseases (NIAID). It is designed to provide balanced immunity against all four dengue virus serotypes (DENV-1, DENV-2, DENV-3, and DENV-4) in a single dose. The vaccine is composed of four specific monovalent components: rDENV1Δ30, rDENV2/4Δ30 (a chimeric virus), rDENV3Δ30, and rDENV4Δ30. These components are attenuated by a 30-nucleotide deletion in the 3' untranslated region of the viral genome. TV005 has been evaluated in various clinical trials for safety and immunogenicity across different age groups and flavivirus-exposure backgrounds, showing high rates of seroconversion to all four serotypes.
