Drug intelligence / Profile preview
A combination dietary supplement containing tyrosine, green tea extract, and caffeine. This formulation is typically marketed for its potential to support energy, focus, and modest weight loss. Tyrosine is an amino acid precursor to catecholamine neurotransmitters (dopamine, norepinephrine), which may help with alertness and cognitive function under stress. Green tea extract provides polyphenols (notably catechins) and a moderate amount of caffeine; it also contains L-theanine, which can modulate stimulant effects. Caffeine acts as a central nervous system stimulant by antagonizing adenosine receptors, increasing alertness and thermogenesis. The combination has been studied for acute effects on metabolism and appetite suppression; however, only caffeine consistently shows significant thermogenic activity at typical doses[1][2][8]. The overall effect on weight loss is modest when used in multi-ingredient supplements[2][8].
