Overview

Uc.63+ siRNA is an experimental small interfering RNA (siRNA) designed to target and silence the expression of the transcribed ultraconserved region Uc.63+ (T-UCR Uc.63+). Uc.63+ is a non-coding RNA that is significantly upregulated in urothelial carcinoma (UC) compared to normal bladder tissues. Research has demonstrated that Uc.63+ promotes cell proliferation and resistance to cisplatin (CDDP) chemotherapy by modulating androgen receptor (AR) signaling. By utilizing RNA interference to knock down Uc.63+, this siRNA increases the sensitivity of bladder cancer cells to cisplatin and can re-sensitize resistant cells, suggesting its potential as a therapeutic strategy for overcoming chemoresistance in muscle-invasive bladder cancer.
