Drug intelligence / Profile preview
UCT-MSC + biomaterials is a cell therapy candidate being developed by Vitti Labs for the treatment of Crohn's disease, Duchenne muscular dystrophy (DMD), and autism. The product consists of mesenchymal stem cells (MSCs) harvested from umbilical cord tissue, which are integrated with a biomaterial scaffold or delivery system. This combination is designed to leverage the anti-inflammatory and tissue-repair capabilities of MSCs while using biomaterials to enhance cell retention and therapeutic efficacy. The program is currently in the IND-enabling phase, with the sponsor working toward filing Investigational New Drug applications for its lead indications.
