Drug intelligence / Profile preview
UFT + cisplatin + leucovorin is a chemotherapy combination regimen used primarily for treating advanced cancers. UFT is an oral fluoropyrimidine that combines tegafur (a prodrug of 5-fluorouracil) with uracil. When combined with cisplatin and leucovorin (folinic acid), this regimen has been studied in various cancer types including non-small-cell lung cancer, esophageal cancer, and gastric cancer. The combination aims to improve efficacy while maintaining a convenient outpatient administration schedule compared to regimens requiring protracted venous infusion.
