Drug intelligence / Profile preview
Yuanpin Biotech is developing an umbilical cord-derived mesenchymal stem cell (UC-MSC) therapy for the treatment of Acute Respiratory Distress Syndrome (ARDS). This cell-based biologic is designed to be administered via injection, likely intravenously, to target lung inflammation. The therapy leverages the innate properties of UC-MSCs, which include immunomodulatory, anti-inflammatory, and tissue-regenerative effects. By modulating the immune response and promoting the repair of damaged lung tissue, the therapy aims to alleviate the severe respiratory failure associated with ARDS. Yuanpin Biotech has submitted a clinical trial application for this product in China, specifically targeting patients with mild to moderate ARDS.
