Umbilical Cord derived MSCs (Allogeneic) is an allogeneic cell therapy being developed by StemiGen. The therapy utilizes mesenchymal stem cells (MSCs) harvested from umbilical cord tissue, which are intended to treat inflammatory and degenerative conditions including knee osteoarthritis, diabetic retinopathy, and chronic wounds. These MSCs are thought to exert their therapeutic effects through paracrine signaling, immunomodulation, and the promotion of tissue regeneration. By secreting various growth factors and cytokines, the cells help to reduce local inflammation and stimulate the repair of damaged tissues, such as cartilage in osteoarthritis or vascular structures in diabetic retinopathy.
