Overview

Umbilical cord mesenchymal stem cell conditioned media (UC-MSC-CM) is a biologic therapy derived from the secretome of mesenchymal stem cells harvested from the human umbilical cord and cultured under hypoxic conditions. This conditioned media contains a concentrated mixture of paracrine factors, including cytokines, chemokines, growth factors, and extracellular vesicles such as exosomes. These components work synergistically to provide immunomodulatory, anti-inflammatory, and regenerative effects within the joint environment. Developed by the Indonesian Ministry of Research and Technology / National Research and Innovation Agency (RISTEK-BRIN), the therapy is administered via intra-articular injection to treat knee osteoarthritis by reducing synovial inflammation and promoting the repair of articular cartilage and subchondral bone.
