Umbilical cord mesenchymal stem cells + hyaluronic acid (UCMSCs-HA) is an investigational combination biological therapy developed by the South China Research Center for Stem Cell and Regenerative Medicine. It consists of umbilical cord-derived mesenchymal stem cells (UCMSCs) integrated into a hyaluronic acid (HA) carrier, administered via multipoint intradermal injection. The UCMSCs are intended to promote skin regeneration through the secretion of growth factors and cytokines (paracrine effect), while the hyaluronic acid provides immediate physical filling and hydration. The product is currently in Phase 1 clinical development (NCT02698813) for the treatment of facial wrinkles, acne, and pitting scars.
