Drug intelligence / Profile preview
This is an investigational, oral, fixed-dose combination of three direct acting antivirals for the treatment of chronic hepatitis C virus (HCV) infection. The regimen includes uprifosbuvir, a uridine nucleotide analog inhibitor of HCV NS5B polymerase; grazoprevrir, an HCV NS3/4A protease inhibitor; and ruzasvrir, a pangenotypic HCV NS5A inhibitor. Together, these agents target multiple steps in the viral replication cycle to achieve sustained virologic response across various HCV genotypes. Developed by Merck & Co., this combination demonstrated high efficacy and good tolerability in clinical trials for multiple HCV genotypes but was ultimately discontinued from further development[1][2][4][6].
