Drug intelligence / Profile preview
Urea + arginine + carnosine (brand name: Ureadin Rx Db or Ureadin Podos Db) is a topical combination cream developed by ISDIN. It is formulated with urea (typically 5%) as a moisturizing and keratolytic agent, combined with arginine and carnosine to promote skin regeneration, protect against advanced glycation end-products (AGEs), and improve microcirculation. The cream is primarily indicated for the treatment of moderate-to-severe foot skin xerosis (dry skin) and the prevention of skin lesions in patients with Type 2 diabetes mellitus. In clinical trials, the formulation demonstrated superior efficacy in improving skin hydration and reducing dryness scores compared to standard glycerol-based emollient creams.
