This is a multi-peptide cancer vaccine formulation composed of four synthetic peptides derived from tumor-associated antigens and angiogenesis-related targets: URLC10 (upregulated in lung cancer 10), KOC1 (KH domain containing protein overexpressed in cancer 1), vascular endothelial growth factor receptor 1 (VEGFR1), and vascular endothelial growth factor receptor 2 (VEGFR2). These peptides are designed to elicit cytotoxic T lymphocyte responses against tumor cells expressing these antigens. The vaccine is typically restricted to patients with HLA-A*2402 genotype and has been investigated primarily for advanced or unresectable gastric cancer. The mechanism of action involves stimulating the immune system to recognize and attack tumor cells overexpressing these proteins as well as targeting angiogenesis pathways critical for tumor blood supply[3][1][2]. Clinical trials have demonstrated safety and immunogenicity; however, efficacy remains under investigation.
