Overview

This is a combination immunotherapeutic cancer vaccine composed of two synthetic peptides (URLC10-177 and TTK-567) and the immunostimulatory oligonucleotide CPG-7909. URLC10-177 is a peptide derived from the LY6K protein (also known as URLC10), which is overexpressed in various cancers including esophageal, gastric, lung, and head & neck squamous cell carcinoma. TTK-567 is a peptide derived from the mitotic checkpoint kinase TTK/Mps1. Both peptides are designed to elicit cytotoxic T lymphocyte (CTL) responses against tumor cells expressing these antigens in an HLA-A*2402-restricted manner[3][6][7][9]. CPG-7909 (also known as Agatolimod) is a synthetic oligodeoxynucleotide containing unmethylated CpG motifs that act as Toll-like receptor 9 agonists to enhance immune activation[3][6][10]. The combination aims to induce robust anti-tumor immunity by stimulating antigen-specific CTLs with adjuvant-mediated immune enhancement. This vaccine has been investigated primarily for advanced or recurrent esophageal cancer in phase I/II clinical trials[3][6][7].
