A combination therapy consisting of ursodeoxycholic acid (UDCA) and total glucosides of paeony (TGP). UDCA is a naturally occurring bile acid that constitutes a minor fraction of the human bile acid pool and is used to treat liver diseases by replacing more toxic bile acids. TGP is an active compound extracted from the dried roots of Paeonia lactiflora Pall with immunomodulatory and anti-inflammatory properties. This combination is being investigated for the treatment of primary biliary cholangitis (PBC) with autoimmune hepatitis (AIH) features.
