Overview

This combination consists of three chemotherapeutic agents: **utidelone** (a genetically engineered epothilone analogue with strong anti-tumor activity, particularly in tumors resistant to taxanes), **capecitabine** (an oral prodrug of 5-fluorouracil that interferes with DNA synthesis and repair), and **oxaliplatin** (a platinum-based agent that forms DNA crosslinks, disrupting DNA replication and transcription). Utidelone has been developed for metastatic breast cancer and shows synergistic activity with capecitabine. The triplet regimen is being investigated in phase II/III trials for first-line treatment of PD-L1-negative locally advanced or metastatic gastric or gastroesophageal junction adenocarcinoma. Each drug has a distinct mechanism of action, with the combination designed to address multiple pathways of tumor cell survival and proliferation[1][2][3].
