UV1 vaccine + sargramostim is a combination investigational cancer immunotherapy regimen. The UV1 vaccine, developed by Ultimovacs, is a therapeutic cancer vaccine composed of synthetic peptides derived from the reverse transcriptase subunit of human telomerase (hTERT). Telomerase is highly expressed in over 85% of human tumors and serves as a universal tumor antigen. The vaccine aims to induce an immune response by stimulating T cells to recognize and attack telomerase-expressing tumor cells. Sargramostim (GM-CSF), marketed as Leukine, is used as an adjuvant to enhance the immune response by recruiting and activating antigen-presenting cells at the vaccination site. This combination has been studied in multiple phase I/II clinical trials for various cancers including melanoma, mesothelioma, prostate cancer, ovarian cancer, head and neck cancer, and non-small cell lung cancer[1][4][5][6][7][8].
