**V502 + ISCOMATRIX** is a combination vaccine formulation comprising the recombinant human papillomavirus 9-valent (types 6, 11, 16, 18, 31, 33, 45, 52, and 58) vaccine known as V502 and the ISCOMATRIX adjuvant. V502 is developed to induce immunity against multiple HPV types and is commonly referred to as 9-valent HPV vaccine or "Gardasil 9" when marketed, although formulations with ISCOMATRIX are research-stage and not approved for general use. ISCOMATRIX is a saponin-based adjuvant system containing purified saponin, cholesterol, and phospholipid, structured as cage-like particles that enhance both humoral (antibody-mediated) and cellular (T cell-mediated) immune responses. The ISCOMATRIX adjuvant is designed to boost vaccine efficacy by providing improved antigen delivery and strong immune stimulation, with proven ability to generate robust CD4+ and CD8+ T cell responses in preclinical and clinical studies. The combination is under investigation for improved immunogenicity and efficacy in preventing HPV-related diseases versus unadjuvanted or alum-adjuvanted vaccines[5][4][2].
