Overview

V938 + pembrolizumab is a combination investigational cancer therapy where V938, a proprietary oncolytic virus immunotherapy, is administered together with pembrolizumab, an anti-PD-1 monoclonal antibody immune checkpoint inhibitor. V938 is designed to infect and lyse tumor cells, stimulating an immune response against the cancer. Pembrolizumab blocks PD-1, a checkpoint protein on T cells, preventing its binding with PD-L1/PD-L2 and thereby unleashing T-cell mediated immune responses against tumors. This combination is primarily under investigation for enhancing anti-tumor immunity in advanced solid tumors, particularly melanoma. Early-phase clinical trials focus on evaluating safety, tolerability, and identifying the recommended dose for further studies[2][3].
