Drug intelligence / Profile preview
rosuvastatin-LG Chem-Hypertension-Dyslipidemia refers to a series of fixed-dose combination (FDC) therapies developed by LG Chem to treat patients with co-existing hypertension and dyslipidemia. The program includes dual combinations such as Rovatitan (rosuvastatin and valsartan) and Zemiro (rosuvastatin and ezetimibe), as well as a triple combination marketed as Rovatitan Plus (rosuvastatin, ezetimibe, and valsartan). These products combine the lipid-lowering effects of rosuvastatin (an HMG-CoA reductase inhibitor) and ezetimibe (a cholesterol absorption inhibitor) with the antihypertensive effects of valsartan (an angiotensin II receptor blocker). By consolidating these treatments into a single daily tablet, LG Chem aims to simplify complex medication regimens, improve patient compliance, and enhance the management of cardiovascular risk factors. The triple combination was evaluated in Phase 1 studies (e.g., LGEV1801 and LGEV1802) to confirm the absence of significant drug-drug interactions between the components.
