Drug intelligence / Profile preview
Combination of vandetanib, a small-molecule inhibitor of vascular endothelial growth factor receptor (VEGFR), epidermal growth factor receptor (EGFR), and RET tyrosine kinases indicated for unresectable or metastatic medullary thyroid cancer, and ranitidine, a histamine H2-receptor antagonist used for acid-related gastrointestinal disorders. Both drugs are co-administered in certain clinical scenarios. Available data show no clinically relevant pharmacokinetic or pharmacodynamic interaction between vandetanib and ranitidine, and no dose adjustment is required when co-administered[1][2][3][5][6].
