Vaxelis + Hib-MCC vaccine refers to a combination immunization regimen or co-administration strategy developed by MCM Vaccines B.V., a joint venture between Merck Sharp & Dohme and Sanofi Pasteur. The regimen consists of Vaxelis (V419), a hexavalent vaccine containing diphtheria and tetanus toxoids, acellular pertussis antigens, inactivated poliovirus, Haemophilus influenzae type b (Hib) polysaccharide conjugated to meningococcal protein, and hepatitis B surface antigen, alongside a bivalent Hib-MCC conjugate vaccine (targeting Hib and Neisseria meningitidis serogroup C). This combination is designed to provide comprehensive active immunization in infants and toddlers against seven major infectious diseases: diphtheria, tetanus, pertussis, poliomyelitis, hepatitis B, invasive Hib disease, and serogroup C meningococcal disease. Clinical evaluation (e.g., NCT01553279) has focused on the safety and immunogenicity of administering these vaccines as part of a coordinated pediatric schedule.
